DESCRIPTION
SOPRASEAL STICK VP is a self-adhesive membrane composed of a tri-layer laminated polypropylene facer. The self-adhesive underface is
covered with a silicone release film.
SOPRASEAL STICK VP is a vapour permeable air barrier, used in wall construction. It can also be used as a through wall flashing and as a
transition membrane.
RECOMMENDED SUBSTRATE
This product can be used on most substrates, such as masonry, concrete, wood and gypsum.
SURFACE PREPARATION
The substrate should be clean, sound, dry and free of loose materials, grease and any contaminants, which may compromise the performance
of the product. SOPRASEAL STICK VP is installed on most substrates without primer. However, in a case where specific jobsite conditions
may otherwise require surface preparation, SOPRASEAL VP PRIMER can be used.
INSTALLATION
SELF-ADHESIVE
Adhere the SOPRASEAL STICK VP membrane to the substrate, by removing the detachable silicone release film from the self-adhesive
underside.
Side laps must be 50 mm (2 in), and end laps must be at least 75 mm (3 in).
To ensure proper adhesion, apply uniform pressure to the entire membrane using a hard roller.
To complete the installation, use the SOPRASEAL SCELLANT with SOPRASEAL STICK VP or SOPRASEAL STICK FLASHPRO to seal
details, reverse laps, and critical areas.
Application temperatures: -7 °C to 40 °C (19 °F to 104 °F)
Service temperatures: -40°C to 85 °C ( -40 °F to 185 °F)
UV exposure : up to 180 days
